URGENT, dogs in need of forever homes...

MISSY

Missy is currently at the shelter, awaiting a foster home to become available in our program so that she can leave the cold shelter and be in a warm foster or adoptive home! The shelter tells us she is a sweet little girl who only weighs 5 pounds. She is happy and her tail wags nonstop. When she comes out of the cage she dances around with excitement, and she is sad to go back inside the kennel. Please help us save Missy - her situation is urgent. If you are interested in adopting or fostering her, please fill out the adoption application or contact alegup@me.com

Belle

Tiny little Belle weighs a mere 4 pounds and is quite the little snuggle bug! She likes nothing more than to sit in your lap, wear cute sweaters, and stay warm. Belle is great with other dogs and likes all people but due to her petite size she should not be placed in a home with much larger dogs or small/young children. Belle is also in URGENT need of a new foster home because her current foster care provider is going out of town. If you would like to foster or adopt Belle, please email aLegUp@me.com

Dogs In need of a good home :)

There are hundreds of little angels waiting to be adopted and find their forever home. One of the many amazing animal rescues is Grateful Dog Rescue in San Francisco. They always attend the San Francisco Chihuahua meetup and showcase some of their available dogs. We were able to meet one little angel named Luigi;

What can you say about a dog with a face like this? Meet Luigi, a 7+ year old chinese crested mix. Luigi came to Grateful Dogs Rescue from a shelter in northern California. He was originally seized as one of seventy dogs taken from a puppy mill bust in Lake County. Luigi was in deplorable condition, his skin, his teeth - everything but his spirit. Despite the bowed legs and funny face, his sweet and gentle disposition makes him a winner.

Luigi was recently neutered, he had twelve teeth left, eleven fell out during the dental and the last one needed pulling (he still has a great appetite). He is on a few meds for his skin which we expect to clear up and his wispy white hair to cover most of his body. Luigi is gentle and quiet. When you hold him, he looks at you adoringly. He appreciates any and all affection that he receives. He walks well on leash, rides well in the car and in my dog stroller. He is looking for a fairly quiet forever home, he is good with other dogs his own size (10 lbs.), as well as cats. We are working on his house training. He has learned to go upstairs but is still a little fearful going down. Would do well in a home with children 12 and up. Yes, we know he could be a contestant in the ugly dog contest, but his heart is so beautiful.
