San Francisco December 08' Chihuahua Meetup!
We Went to our very first Chihuahua meetup in San Francisco this month and it was loads of fun! There were about 80 or so attendees, the organizer KtDearest does a fantastic job of putting this event together along with her three adorable chi's fiesta, Mingo and Napoleon. Here are some pictures of our babies making friends with other little chihuahuas and
chi mixes at the Stern Grove Pine Lakes Dog Park in the city. It was such a pretty day, on the cold side but warmed up as the day went on. we were there for three hours of so and it passed by in a blink. all of us had a blast, I can talk FOREVER with other dog owners and especially chi parents because there is just such a connection and so much in common. Cashmere took to it easily and was just exploring around trying to make friends, Romeo has a little bit of a tough time, he is very shy and can feel threatened easily. It was interesting though that they don't really like being around bigger dogs but they get along with small dogs and then specifically chihuahuas in particular. The celebration was also for Mingo's 4th birthday which was very sweet, she was all dressed up with a pink ribbon on her outfit, SO CUTE!
Cashmere and Romeo also had their birthday recently, Dec 11th, we had bought them little puppy cupcakes and bones with sprinkles on them, which they ate so fast they needed to take a break and drink some water in between. We are just so glad to see them grow up into healthy and sweet dogs, even though I still think they are little 2 month old puppies in my head ;)
Romeo's trademark
Romeo has always had the trademark of sticking his tongue out most of the time. Its not that his jaw is too small of tongue too big, but pretty much,,,,its a bad habit. He started doing it when he was really young, now there is really no excuse other that everyone thinks its adorable. Lately, Cashmere is getting in on the action and emulating him, just to get some extra attention.
We love Romeo though, because he is just too cute and manages to look innocent no matter what!

Baby Cashmere And Baby Romeo
Tiny, adorable, chubby and rolly polly! That was Cashmere and Romeo. Here is one the very first videos of them. They did not have much personality yet and would pretty much sleep all day, with the exception of eating and pooping .
Lady Cashmere and Sir Romeo, the begining....
December, 11 2007. Two beautiful little babies were born along with their three little other siblings. Their mama, Marble a beautiful short haired chihuahua was two years old at the time. She delivered four little boys and one little girl. One of the babies did not survive the difficult birth, but fortunately the others were healthy. When we visited them for the first time we were immediately drawn to a little girl that looked like a tiny, poofy haired, blue colored little bear. She fit in a pink little coffee cup. she rolled around and would shake her little tail playfully and when she was unhappy or scared would cry or whimper for attention. There was also another little angel that stole our hearts. A tiny baby boy that was too scared to even walk, with an even beautiful gray colored coat and patches of white on his neck, forehead and all over his chest. And a white tip on his little paintbrush tail. We immediately knew that these two angels were our little boy and girl.
That is how Lady Cashmere and Sir Romeo came into our lives.
